Standard and applicability review
Identify the product, relevant standard and compulsory-certification question.
ISI CERTIFICATION — READINESS & GUIDANCE
Define models and the factory site.
Review records and operational gaps.
UNDERSTAND THE ASSESSMENT
BIS Scheme I permits use of the Standard Mark for products covered by the granted licence. Applicability, product varieties, testing and factory requirements need a product-specific review. We help organise the preparation work; BIS makes the licensing decision. Other BIS schemes should not be treated as interchangeable with the ISI route.

UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE
| Route | Focus | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| ISI / Scheme I | A licence to use the Standard Mark for the covered product. | Only the granted scope is covered. |
| Other BIS schemes | Different conformity-assessment routes. | Not automatically equivalent to an ISI licence. |
| Management-system certification | An organisation’s management system. | Does not replace required product licensing. |
Trade Innovation does not issue BIS licences or grant permission to use the Standard Mark. Product requirements and compulsory coverage must be checked for the actual case.
